I couldn’t function after what I had just seen. For the entire lecture, and even the one after that, I kept my head down on the desk, shedding silent tears that burned my eyes. Jeevanshi hadn’t come to college today, and Aashi was sitting on the seat ahead of me, unaware of the storm brewing inside me.
